Miles of open sandy beaches with few restrictions on access for dogs, make Dunstanburgh Castle Cottages the perfect location for a break away with your four legged friends.
Great beach walks (with a pub stop for the humans) include a stretch North along the beach to the Ship Inn at Newton-by-the-Sea or South to the Jolly Fisherman at Craster, via Embleton Bay & the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle – all accessed on foot directly from Embleton.
Most pubs in Northumberland welcome dogs to their bar areas and many have water bowls outside, so they can feel refreshed too.
A voluntary website Doggiepubs.org.uk lists many dog friendly pubs in the local area with a brief review.
Pets are very welcome and safe in our two large enclosed gardens adjacent to the cottages.
To maintain our high standards, we ask that owners adhere to our Pets Welcome guidelines and show respect for other cottage residents.
Bio-degradable disposal bags are provided as part of your welcome pack of supplies.
Excellent quality dog grooming & day boarding (great for trips to the Farne Islands) are available at Coastal Canines in Seahouses.
